Sweater Weather is back! Now, I enjoy a good sweater but not the extra bulk. As a petite frame, I don’t want to add any extra fluff where it is not needed, if you know what I mean. I also don’t want to turn off those who enjoy the loose fit. You do you, babe.
I will share a few sweater weather options in today’s post, but I will also feature sweaters for petite frames and those who may be more significant on top who could benefit from these tips when buying their next sweater for the fall and winter seasons.
Off the Shoulder Sweater Top
The off-your-shoulder sweater brings simplicity with a touch of chic to any outfit. The off-the-shoulder shows off your skin and removes the focus from your chest—sweater Weather made for all frames for these cooler months. An off-the-shoulder sweater is appropriate in the office and will transition to evening wear with a pair of leather trousers or a midi skirt effortlessly.
Fitted Sweater
A fitted sweater will define the upper part of your body. A shaped sweater will complement you. Consider the sleeves, the neckline, and the length of the top.
These small details make a big difference. The fitted style removes the extra bulk for a bigger chest and complements all frames for a sleek look during fall and winter.
Think Lighter, not Heavier for a Sweater
You can look for a sweater made of cotton, rib knit, or cashmere; these are lighter in texture and volume. Again, if you want the extra layers, add texture and prints for an oversized look.
The more lightweight sweater will keep your outfit feeling light and fitted.
The lightweight sweater benefits a bustier frame, and it is also petite-friendly.
Turtleneck Sweater
A turtleneck is a sweater that is so versatile. You can’t go wrong with this one because it is a dress-down or dress-up sweater. Here is the most important note: you are focusing on the details of your top and neck and not anything else, if you get me. This one is a staple for the closet.
All you must do is decide what color and how many you want to add to your wardrobe.
The Details are on the Sweater
I saved this one for last for a few reasons. Sweater weather is fun, and what you wear should add style to whatever you may be going for when wearing one this fall and winter. With that note, consider wearing a sweater with details that describe you with bold colors, stripes, prints, texture, or anything that comes to mind for your next outing.
The extra flair focuses on the details, and it will also distract from your frame if that is the goal.
